Around 60,000 babies are born prematurely every year in the UK. That is roughly 1 in 13 babies who will start there journey in a special care baby unit (scbu) or a neonatal intensive care unit (nicu). Chances are you know someone who has a baby who started out in the nicu or scbu.

Having a new baby in hospital is a terrifying and isolating thing. At a time when people feel most alone, it helps to know there are others out there who have been through what you are going through. People who are thinking about you.
