Story
Hello,
Our dear sister, Celestina 'Cel' Cantos has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), tuberculosis, and sepsis after being confined in the hospital for more than 2 weeks in October 2018 in Mary Mediatrix Medical Center in Lipa City, Philippines. She was admitted in the hospital with a mere case of intermittent fever few times in September until her confinement in mid-October. Her condition quickly deteriorated as she experienced numbness of upper and lower extremities, dyspnea, nape pain, and easy fatigability. She was advised to undergo hematology tests and the results indicated MDS. She had several blood transfusions due to sudden drop in hemoglobin level. (See attached diagnosis)
She is currently undergoing MDS treatment and the total medical and hospitalisation expenses has already reached over Php 400,000 , in just few weeks. Her medication alone costs around Php 15,000 to Php 20,000 per week. And due to the severity of her case, she may need to undergo bone marrow transplant, which may cost hundreds of thousands or even million in pesos.
This has been a very difficult time for our family as we struggle to cope with Ate Cel's condition.
In this regard, along with your PRAYERS, we are humbly asking for any financial assistance you can extend to support our Ate Cel's battle with MDS.
Thank you very much for your generosity. Your help is much appreciated and may GOD bless you.
Sincerely,
Cel Cantos Family
