As part of the BaxterStorey team, we are raising funds for the Amazing Alice charity as part of the 2019 London 10K Run. Alice was the daughter of one of our much loved colleagues, so I am very excited and proud to be part of this initiative to support this incredible charity in the memory of a very special girl.

The Amazing Alice Mission

Amazing Alice's charity mission is to help other families of children who have been treated on the Southampton Paediatric Oncology Unit to create long lasting memories. Our mission is to provide special times for families doing the things their families enjoy doing. Alice loved lots of things, spas, hotel stays, London, shopping, theatre and theme parks to name but a few.

We also help bereaved families to create lasting memories after the loss of their child. We would like to be able to help families enjoy some of the things they treasure and to spend precious time with their families creating memories.

Alice also wanted to give back to the nurses that helped her during her illness, and a part of the charity is to support extra training not funded by the NHS to help non-medical teams at Winchester and Basingstoke paediatric departments help children with complex and life limiting conditions.
