As many of you will know, I have recently returned from my 10 week placement of volunteering on the Support Action for the Most Marginalised childrens' Education project in Malawi.

Whilst in Malawi, I stayed with a host family, being lucky enough to be placed with the Nyirenda family (Arthur, Brenda, Vitumbiko and Victor). Arthur and Brenda both work as health workers; Brenda works in Khombedza which is close to the village where I was staying and Arthur travels to the north of Malawi to work in Chitipa.

Arthur discussed with me whilst I was in Malawi that he is hoping to continue his education and complete a diploma in Pharmacy at the Malawi College of Health Sciences. After going for an interview, he has been lucky enough to be selected for the course, starting on the 8th of September.

One of Arthur's main problems is the college fees, and as he has reached out to me for help I have decided to start fundraising.
