On saturday 23rd December im going to be doing a fun run( yeah right) from New Tredegar rfc to Bedwas rfc and then back to New Tredegar rfc approx 24 miles and im Looking at raising some much needed funds for 2 kids rugby teams.
Firstly my daughter Angharad's team New Tredegar under 9's who are only a small team of 10/11 players who desperatley need some training equipment and new kit they are a passionate bunch of boys and girls 8 & 9 years of age who have differnent playing abilities, and are coached by steffan and lee who cannot be more committed to the team.
They also need to have some new flyers to try and increase player numbers by putting into schools,clubs and local shops.

Secondly is my son Dafydd's club Bedwas rfc mini and juniors who are a fast developing mini and junior club with boys and girls who come from all over the caerphilly borough area. They are again looking for funds for new training equipment and some much needed funds for running a large section like first aid supplies training facility costs etc.
Any monies raised will be split evenly between the 2 sides/teams of kids who all love the game of rugby but without fundraising cannot continue and play rugby which gives the kids the ethics that team sport brings like respect of eachother,opposition and adults, fitness as they train and play games and these days with technology outside activity has dropped off and also develop skills like co-ordination, motor skills and communication which will stand them in good places as they mature and grow
