On 20th November 2018, Poppy Sunshine Irvine came into the world, but in a cruel twist of fate was never able to take her first breath. Her parents, my oldest friend Andrew (although he will always be 'irv' to me) and Lisa, are understandably heartbroken at the loss of their little girl. They live in New Zealand, and with me being over in England i just wanted to lend a hand at this difficult time. Many people don't think about the cost of their funeral (me included) let alone expect to be planning for one when it should have been the furthest thing from their mind- the beginning of a life, and not the end. No amount of money would ever replace their daughter, i know that, but if the money raised could take just a little bit of stress away from their situation, i would take that as a success. I hope they don't mind me doing this, and see it for what it is, a small gesture from a mate who lives thousands of miles away from his best mate in the world, who has just had the worst thing possible happen. I truly wish i could do more.
I love you mate, and i know you have a bright future ahead of you, as Lisa is by your side.
