    Story

In March 2017 Dr Georgina Budd was driving to work when a freak accident left her with life changing injuries. After ploughing into a tree at 50mph Georgina broke her spine and caused significant damage to her spinal cord. This meant she couldn't move at all from belly button down and her Doctors do not expect her to recover enough to walk again. After 8 months in a special unit Dr Budd now uses a wheelchair day to day but is determined to get back to work and normal life as soon as possible.

With the help of the company Neurokinex huge progress has been made in her mobility. Georgie attends weekly hour sessions in her nearest centre (Bristol - Georgie lives in Wales) and really wants to keep going for as long as possible to see just how far her determination can get her. However, Georgie is still waiting to return to work and is struggling with the cost of the sessions and travel.

Therefore Georgie has decided to challenge herself to do the Superheroes Triathlon; a 400m swim, 10k hand bike race and 2.5k push in her wheelchair. This was completed in 1hr 54 mins on the 18th August and the response has been great but we still have a way to go to hit target.

Luckily Georgie has the BEST friends and one of those is Becky Townsend who is facing her fear and doing a sponsored sky dive to raised the further funds needed. Please sponsor her!

If you'd like to follow her progress find her story on facebook (Learning to Walk Again; the rehab efforts of Georgie Budd) or at the website (https://buddgf.wixsite.com/georgiebuddrehabfund)
