    Story

I want to share a rare and tragic story in the modern world which has genuinely shocked me since I have heard. I have come across an unfortunate parents named, Mr. Farid Osmani and Mrs Kareema Osmani who once had 7 beautiful children and now they are left with 3. The reason for this condition is the “undiagnosed genetic disorder” of the kidneys which took their children’s lives one after the other. As I contacted the heart broken father of the children, he cried heavily in tears and explained how he feels after burying his daddy’s little princess in the grave a month ago on 10th of November 2018. He mentioned the complication of this disorder which firstly affected his 8 year old daughter as her kidneys stopped functioning followed by his 3 months son, 12 year old son and lastly his 14 year old daughter. He also shared how he is holding his other 3 remaining children in his arms at all times and fears that they will be next as his son is showing the same symptoms as the others. He still remembers the day his daughter said, “Daddy please take me home as I am going to die anyways just like the rest of my siblings so please don’t cry.”

The family are currently living in Kabul, Capital city of Afghanistan, a place of war and terror where Genetic disorders are very difficult and highly unlikely to be diagnosed when there is a lack of medical resources, treatment and facilities. If the family choose to visit a neighbouring country for treatment, for example India/pakistan, Then It will be highly costly as they won’t be able to afford the expenses. The parents are jobless at the moment due to mental health issues and they are in serious debt as they have spent all of their savings and borrowings on the children’s health.

Mr. Osmani will appreciate if Communities, Organisations, Research Companies and Hospitals will help his family in their worst situation by supporting his current remaining children to get diagnosed and treated through donation and other means of care.

A small act of generosity from your end, could possibly play a big role in saving these innocent lifes.
