Having lived around addicts my whole life I have seen and felt the devestation it can bring to people and thier families, its a heartbreaking. Addicts cant recover on their own. They need help and constant support to reinfoce their belief in themselves.

Organisations like Genie are so important for giving people the hope and belief that they need. Genie is a non profit, charity funded organisation, offering a full timetable of activities ranging from recovery groups, yoga, music, art, creative writing, drama, and physical health and nutrition. They support people towards recovery, allowing them to reclaim thier lives back and reach thier full potential.

Genie couldnt survive without volunteers and donations. It makes my heart happy being part of something that can help support and improve so many lives and I'd love to keep helping in any way I can. So I've decided to take part in the Liverpool half marathon and try and raise as much money as possible.

Please donate anything you have spare, its going to such an amazing cause and will go towards helping so many lives in need.
