    Story

There will be a few people on my page here who will know the heartbreaking news that my Auntie Trina was given on October 18th 2018.

For those of you that don't know my Auntie Trina, she is the sort of person who would do anything for anyone. One of those people that have an infectious smile and laugh and leave a ray of sunshine wherever they've been.

Auntie Trina's story starts by simply complaining of a pain and discomfort for 6 months. After doing so she was sent for an x-ray, but the results that came back were devastating. On October 18th 2018, she received tragic news that her pain was Bone Cancer of the leg.

On October 17th she was sent to Musgrove hospital, where after a substantial stay and a biopsy, she was given more heart wrenching news that not only was there cancer in one place, but that it was in the Liver, Lungs and the hips. On the 26th October the specialists made a decision to do an operation on her leg to support the leg where the cancer had attacked it,a pin was placed in her leg to enable her to stay mobile without the need of a wheelchair. Yet again Auntie Trina was incredible and was truly remarkable whilst recovering with a smile on her face. Her determination to get up and walking was truly amazing! Unbelievably she was discharged on the 30th and returned home to her family.

On the 19th October they met with a specialist to discuss treatments, which meant that Auntie Trina would start the chemotherapy tablets on November 30th. It had been discovered that her Cancer was melanoma and that it had managed to spread to the bones and other organs. Her positivity and her smile still stayed and she was determined to have a fantastic Christmas.

Her family and friends threw her a New Years Eve party so she could enjoy time with friends and family and regain some normality and the New Year started with another positive attitude, aside from a few issues the Chemo tablets seemed to be doing their job.

However, as I sit here to write this, my lovely Auntie Trina is back in Musgrove in quarantine with a high temperature that the doctors are unable to keep stable.

Now this is where I'm asking for your help.

Not only is this tragedy causing emotional strain on them both, its also causing unnecessary money strain. So I am kindly asking you to please leave a donation here, it doesn't have to be big, but in this time of need anything will be gratefully received, as are everybody's well wishes too.

It would mean more than you could ever imagine and throughout all of this Auntie Trina is still thinking of others and wishes to donate some of the money back to the hospital for all of their amazing care that they have given to her and her family throughout this hard time.

    Thankyou so much for reading.
