Paul Armstrong is running the Osaka Marathon in Japan to raise funds for a close friend of his mother's, Naomi Hoey. Naomi has been diagnosed with bladder cancer and is currently receiving treatment. This leaves her exhausted and unable to work at this time. Naomi has spent much of her working life helping others and is as kind a person as anyone could be. At this point Naomi is struggling with her everyday finances, which brings unnecessary additional pressures that can be difficult enough even when you're able to work. She should not have this worry on top of her illness and would benefit greatly from the support of friends. Part of the proceeds will also go towards Cancer Research UK .
