The refugee crisis is far from over and as winter has arrived we need your help to provide the basic necessities for survival for men, women and children living on the streets and in transit camps in Bosnia-Herzegovina this winter.

Over the past few months I have been working with Collective Aid, a volunteer run organisation that is providing basic humanitarian aid to refugees in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Every day our work force, made up solely of volunteers, work tirelessly distributing two meals a day on the streets as well as providing breakfast, lunch and dinner at the newly opened refugee camp on the outskirts of Sarajevo which is home to families, women and children, some of which are as young as 10 months old. We also work along side other small-scale volunteer run NGOs that distribute non-food items such as blankets, sleeping bags and clothes to people in need on the streets.

These people have fled war, oppression, poverty and discrimination. Now on their search for refuge they are faced with the harsh Balkan winter. We have just had the first snowfall and with temperatures all ready dropping well below -10 urgent action is required to provide the right aid needed for people to survive.

We rely solely on donations to keep our work going. Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated to ensure that these individuals' basic human needs are met. Every penny donated will be going straight to helping provide winter aid to refugees in Sarajevo.
