Story
Next year, I am travelling to Nepal with my school in order to work on a poverty-reduction project with a poor community school outside Kathmandu. We will be working to provide either safe drinking water by installing the community's first piped drinking water system, helping to construct sanitation and hygiene units to improve pupil moral and health, or building a new school class room to introduce public education in the community.
During the day we will be working alongside teachers and school children to implement the projects. In the afternoons, we will have the opportunity to play sports with the children and help teach them English.
We are also raising money for The Gurkha Welfare Trust, a charity to support Gurkha ex-servicemen and their families and village communities in Nepal.
I need to raise this money to fund my trip, pay for building materials and to contribute to the donations to the charities involved.
