Weʼve raised £1,235 to fund The Holly Project, which provides vital support to those affected by child sexual exploitation in Telford

Funded on Saturday, 20th April 2019

    Story

For four decades, young girls in Telford have been ruthlessly sexually exploited: raped, beaten, sold for sex and some even killed.

The authorities in this town failed to act on numerous warnings about this unthinkable problem and as a result it spiralled out of all control, devastating countless lives.

But thanks to the dedication of some incredible abuse survivors who refused to be silenced, those in power have finally taken notice. An independent inquiry into widespread child sexual exploitation in Telford will now be held.

The Holly Project has been established to support those who have experienced this issue: the survivors and, crucially, their families. It is a much needed safe space for those who have been affected the trauma of this problem in any way.

We are running the Groundhog Half Marathon in Telford on March 2 to raise money for this amazing cause.

Every donation will be appreciated, no matter how big or small xx
