Ali has come down with a really nasty case of pneumonia, aggravated by the complication of pleurisy. He has just had surgery to drain the fluid around his lungs and doctors predict it will take around 3-4 months until he feels well again. Unfortunately his work only offer statutory sick pay (around £90/week) which isn’t enough to cover his rent whilst he recovers. If you know Ali, then you’ll know he’s one of the kindest and most generous people you’ll ever meet. He needs to concentrate on getting better instead of worrying about money.
