Weʼve raised £10,740 to Help Helen to see her son Louie grow up

    Story

A year ago my wife Helen and I were living the dream, happily married with an amazing 2 year old son and Helen pregnant with our second child.

Then after having a cough for several weeks, Helen was cruelly diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer with not the greatest prognosis. Having never smoked and lived a healthy lifestyle you can imagine how much of a shock and how devastating this news was, especially as we had to say goodbye to our unborn angel at 17 weeks.

Helen underwent 4 cycles of chemo which made her very ill and lose lots of weight, which she still struggles with now. Helen has spent over a year researching alternative treatments and applying these and was feeling well. Over the last couple of weeks Helens health has deteriorated and we are completely shocked how things can change in the blink of an eye. Helen is a very private person but we are going to have to appeal for more help which she finds embarrassing! But ultimately she wants to be alive for our beautiful boy who is literally her life. We don’t believe it's her path to not see our son grow up, not for one second. We’re planning on going to a clinic in Germany on 8th October. She needs 3 weeks ideally but there's not enough funds in the pot. If anyone can be kind enough to do any fundraising, donate or knows Simon Cowell or his mates, we would be so grateful. Thank you to all that have been doing fundraising as at least I'm lucky enough to be able to put my deposit down and get over there .

So that's basically our story, if you could find it in your hearts to donate something, no matter how big or small it would be greatly appreciated.

It is with deep regret that unfortunatley my beautiful wife Helen passed away in hospital last Friday after being ill for a couple of days. As a family we are still trying to come to terms with this as we were all so confident in turning things around. I would like to thank everyone for their generous donations and words of support over the last 15 months. I k ow it meant the world to Helen, & she felt very loved. She is & always will be sorely missed, she really was the best woman I have ever met in every way.
