Our beloved father, Barkat Ali Naseem, passed away on Sunday 23 February 2020 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

In this really difficult time we then had to think about the practicalities of his funeral. To arrange a Muslim burial in an area with a small Muslim community is not an easy ask. Thankfully, this is where the Ayrshire Muslim Association stepped in and they essentially sorted everything for us.

The Ayrshire Muslim Association is a registered charity, manned by some wonderfully kind and caring volunteers. They are just beginning in providing Islamic funeral services for the local Muslim community where there aren't any at the moment.

In memory of our Dad, we want to raise funds for this wonderful organisation. They are just starting out in providing the necessary facilities in supporting local families in the most difficult time they could go through. But they have a long way to go and they need your donations to ensure they are able to provide the right service to bereaved families.

Dad would have wanted us to continue to help others as he did all his life. If we can ask for your help and support with this hugely worthwhile cause it would mean the world to us.
