I want to travel to Nepal for a week helping improve the lives of the local community, as well as fulfilling a personal dream of running the mountains of Nepal.

For the past few years I have been running a lot, either training or through 10K runs and half-marathons. My first ever 10K and Half Marathon came within the same week of each other and since running both of those, and raising just over £500 for charity in around 2 months, (With a HUGE thanks to everyone who donated) I've been hooked.

This trip would be an amazing opportunity to be part of.

What Would I Be Doing?

While visiting and working with the projects that we fundraise for, at the end of the trip will be a running race within the mountains of Nepal. The trip will be set in the shadows of the Himalayas!

The projects will be working with 3 of the 17 Sustainable development goals set in 2000 by the United Nations in order to eliminate poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease, to all be achieved by 2030. The Nepal project will work on Quality Education, Gender Equality and Clean Water and Sanitation.

I will pick one of these projects to fundraise for which will then form the basis of the activities on the trip!

How Am I Going To Fundraise?

I am aiming to raise enough to be able to send myself to Nepal, (Covering the programme fees as well as the travel fees) as well as raising as much as I can for the Nepalese charities. I will use my love of running as well other activities in order to encourage this!

My first fundraising effort will be my first non UK 10K run.
