Jen was born extremely prematurely. Our miracle baby has grown up into a lovely, kind, caring young lady who is now 26 yrs old. She is an essential wheelchair user having Cerebral palsy, Scoliosis of the spine and Raynaud syndrome a peripheral circulatory disorder.

Jen lives life to the full and enjoys hydrotherapy, wheelchair keep fit, visiting friends and theatre and shopping trips. She is an active member of her local village community, volunteering with the charity Mencap.

After a busy day out Jen would love to be able to come home and make herself a cup of tea and a simple meal. These simple but necessary tasks which most people take for granted can only be done by Jen if she has a bespoke kitchen that is specially designed to meet her needs. These type of kitchens are very expensive as they include appliances such as an adjustable electric sink, specialist larder fridge with accessible drawers and an instant boiling water tap with a tank as Jen cannot use a kettle.

We are holding a series of fund raising events to raise the money for this kitchen. We are hoping to raise £25,000.

Our first event is a group of friends who are taking on the challenge of the Yorkshire three peaks walk on Saturday 3rd June, starting time 8am meeting in the public car park in Horton in Ribblesdale.
