This is my friend Paul. I met him not so long ago . Like many of us Paul has a story. His started after the death of a loved one . Something and someone he just couldn't get over . Paul's story and current circumstances has had a heavy impact on my thoughts. Cause you see Paul is homeless, he sleeps rough every night. Help that has been offered means he would have to be around people that aren't going to have a positive impact on his life right now . People that have a different battle related to drugs and alcohol. Paul doesn't have much, in fact he can carry all his possessions on his back . Last week his tent was set on fire by a mindless individual. I have since bought him a new one . See this is were I struggle to comprehend his reality as I am sat here in my dry cosy house. I just can't imagine what must go through his head laying there in his tent . So . I have a goal . I can only try .And with Paul's permission I have set this page up. I have looked online at bedsits/one bedroom flats . £750 is what needs to be raised . This will cover a deposit and one months up front rent. Having a home is the catalyst to his future. Because then he can apply for benefits short term. Once he is on his feet and deals with "his story " he can look for employment. The wintery days are fast approching So please , I know it's cliche but every penny counts.
