What a frightneing world we live in right now. Today, on Blackout Tuesday, I have felt helpless. Posting black squares on my social media hasn’t felt enough. In fact, it’s highlighted how much other rubbish I post and scroll through rather than spending my time standing up for people who need help.

And so, on Monday 8th June, to commemorate the 2 week anniversary of the horrific death of George Floyd & support the millions of people who have had their voices silenced, I will be sat on the floor at the coronation fountain in Welwyn Garden City with my mouth taped and hands bound for 8 hours and 46 minutes.

The rules:

*I can only drink water in this time

*I can go to the bathroom

*I will have a piece of paper with me to ask to go to the bathroom

*If I am visited/joined, I cannot remove the tape to talk
