    Story

The Lennox Herald team is running the Vale of Leven 10k and we are delighted to be supporting three worthwhile local charities.
The team - editor Linzi Watson and reporters Lorraine Weir, Jenny Foulds and Carla Talbot - have started training.
We are pushing ourselves to the limit and hope to encourage readers to join us.
Our efforts are to support of three worthwhile local causes - the Joan MacGregor Matrimonial Fund, West Dunbartonshire Carers Centre and the Alastair Grace Fund.
All money the Lennox team raises will be split between them.
The Joan MacGregor Matrimonial Fund raises money for couples desperate to wed before terminal illness tears them apart. Kathleen MacGregor, from Bellsmyre, founded the charity after losing her daughter-in-law.
West Dunbartonshire Carers Centre is a lifeline for thousands of people who give their time for free to provide care to loved ones who would not otherwise be able to live independently at home.
The charity's mission is to make a positive difference to the lives of carers throughout the region.
We are also pleased to be supporting another local fund recently established in memory of brave Balloch teenager Alastair Grace.
Courageous Alastair lost his battle with a terminal brain tumour seven-and-a-half years ago and was cared for at the Childrens' Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) facility, Robin House in Balloch in his final weeks.
The organisation still provides his family with help and comfort now and to honour the support they have received, they have set up Alastair's fund which will go towards helping local families living through the nightmare of having a child with a life-shortening condition.
We are delighted to be supporting these three charities and are grateful for any donations, however big or small.
