Chips is a local play scheme offered to families with special needs for respite. All members of chips are fantastic at what they do. Chips hugely relies on fundraising and so to be able to continue to give families this fantastic support they need help with fundraising.

Myself an Katie want to share with you our children's needs and how it helps us.

I have twins called Harry and Alfie, who are 4 years old. Alfie is your typical 4-year-old however Harry has Autism. Harry does not speak and we communicate by visuals and sign language. Harry's Autism effects his everyday activities, e.g. communication, play time, concentration etc. Due to his condition, he will be attending a school which helps children with Special Needs. Chips has helped me and both boys love it. I also feel it helps with Alfie being able to share the experience with Harry

Katie has 4 children, 3 of whom attends CHIPS. Harry is 9 years old has autism and ADHD which causes him to struggle mainly with social skills and academically. Evie who is 4 years old, has global delay, Holoprosencephaly, Microcephaly, Chromosome 18 and Ruby is neurotypical. Evie will be attending special provision from September. Evie’s journey since birth has been very difficult, She has had 11 operations to date. Having the chips play scheme has been an amazing support network for my family which we couldn’t be without. It has enabled me to do the simple things that are difficult with the kids. I know many families with children with additional needs that depends on chips’ support.

Katie and I would like to try and raise as much money as possible to keep this play scheme going. Any donation of any amount, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference.
