    Story

    Why Now?

WE ARE TIRED. Years ago we started a company to raise awareness for social causes. The systemic oppression of black people across the world deeply affected us and still affects us. We needed to get more youth informed about what happens in our world and now more than ever, we need to rekindle that mission and raise awareness. Years later, George Floyd, a 46 year old black man, was senselessly murdered whilst in Minneapolis police custody on May 25th 2020. Many of us have watched the painful video of Mr Floyd’s death as he pleaded for his life. Justice has not been served for Mr. Floyd and many other black people who have been wrongfully accused, racially profiled, targeted and murdered. We stand with and support those across the globe working towards justice for BLACK LIVES. With the Limited Edition units of our “Black Lives Matter” bracelets we have decided to use our platform to raise awareness and fight racial injustice.

Where will your donations go ?

Ortus Jewels will be donating to the NAACP Defense Fund which “is America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. Through litigation, advocacy, and public education, LDF seeks structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans. LDF also defends the gains and protections won over the past 75 years of civil rights struggle and works to improve the quality and diversity of judicial and executive appointments”

With each donation over £5 we will send you an Ortus Jewels “Black Lives Matter” as a reminder to keep this important message alive. We condemn all organisations using this tragic moment and important movement as an opportunity to gain profit, hence all proceeds donated will be posted regularly here on our page under the donations highlight.

You can stand with the movement and donate via paypal now or through our just giving page. Please screenshot your donation and send it to our instagram DMs @ortusjewels along with your address and we will send you your bracelet. Limited international shipping. Orders will be processed weekly.
