Story
Our Beautiful Furbaby Bertie Boy has had a freak accident and really needs your help.
Its been a nightmare 24 hours. A beautiful walk around Witley court has gone very badly wrong resulting in Bertie having broken his ankle in 3 places along with severe ligament damage.
Because of the severity of the break and the technicality of the operation required he is now in Willows Vetinary Hospital in Solihull with one of the top Super orthapedic Vets in Europe, who have been amazing and will hopefully operate on wednesday morning.
Due to the severity of the breaks, the ligament damage and the technicality of the operation it requires the specialist surgery. The prognosis with this orthopedic surgeon is very good and Bertie's only real hope of a decent recovery.
However this specialist treatment it is going to land us a a bill of around £10000.00 with only £4000 covered by insurance!!🤢
We are heartbroken he is having to go through this especially as Bertie looks so so sad & his tale had not wagged once in 24hours😔
I cant believe we have gone from such an amazing high of Bertie performing as Sandy in the musical Annie to such a sad, painfull and worrying low.
I truly am sorry to ask for help but I'm taking the advice and encouragement that I have been given by Bertie's friends to set this page up as every single penny will help.
Thank you for reading Bert's story and donating anything you can spare.
Bertie means the world to his family and friends and brings joy to everyone he meets. xxx

5 years agoThe boy is on the mend and is getting harder to keep calm and restricted. He will have his stitches out this Wednesday and then a big check up at Willows on the 29th with x-rays to see if the operation has been successful. In the mean time we are going to start taking him out and about in his buggy so he gets some fresh air and stimulation....photos to follow of those trips out but for now here he is looking a numpty in his collar to stop him itching his paw!!

5 years agoBertie is home and has eaten for the first time since Saturday. He is incredibly lethargic, a long road to recovery ahead with many check ups and regimes to follow. The best news is his tail still works, as oh boy did he wag it when he saw us!!🐶🐶 So so pleased to have him back at home with us. xxx

5 years ago🐾🐾🐾BERTIE BOY UPDATE 🐾🐾🐾 Berties op was more complicated than they thought but his surgeon is pleased with how its gone. He hasn't eaten since Sunday so hopefully today he will come home to recouperate and eat! He still has a very long way to go to recovery. He must walk except on lead in garden for loo. He must be crated or confined to small room...no slippy floors. No stairs. No sofas or beds, No playing with Buddy ( they play tug of war & chase for hours a day!) A huge Thank you to for all your support xxx
