Weʼve raised £1,573 to get Richard a home for Christmas

Story
This has been set up to try and help to get Richard a home for Christmas so that he can get back on his feet.
Richard is homeless, currently living in a bus shelter near Trowbridge where he expects to stay for the next 3 months. Now many people on Facebook have got involved and kindly donated many things to Richard to help him to be as comfortable as he can under the circumstances.
He does have a learning disability.
He is very excited about the fact that he is now 'famous!' On Facebook but I feel that there is still a lot more we can do.
The amount to raise has been set at £500 although there is actually no target.
The money raised will be produced to Richard for him to decide how best he would like to move forward, whether it be a caravan or a private rental.
This is Richards choice, it's his life and I think he should have a say in how he lives it.
I have been in the same situation and I can assure you it's not a great place to be. Knowing that you have no control over your life because of things beyond your control.

8 years agoYet more generosity over night. A big thank you to the people that GENUINELY CARE! Those that have donated financially a big thank you. Material items and just general support thank you also. You may have seen a negative post about Richards financial situation and also that he is putting himself in this situation. I can assure you that is NOT the case. If you have any worries prior to donating please contact me direct through Facebook. Remember don't let these wannabe helpers put you off. We are doing a great job and can do so much more!

8 years agoI'm not being pushy but I'm raising the target A) to ensure all of the money raised goes to Richard (so they don't take fees) B) for those that don't bother reading and just think that the target has been met so can no longer donate As I say please keep donating so that we can raise as much as possible for Richard x
