My name is Robyn, I'm 17 years old and 4 weeks ago I was about to start my second year of A-levels.This all changed after a trip to A&E the weekend before I was due back at college. From there I was transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Within a few weeks I was then diagnosed with a rare medical condition in which my bone marrow has stopped working and is unable to produce the blood cells that I need.

This meant that I will need intense chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant, this treatment is the best chance of me having a cure.
All four of my siblings were tested to see if they were a match and luckily my little brother Matthew, 8 is a 100% match. My recovery will be 12-18 months post transplant, feeling positive!

My sister Abbey, 15 would never let me go through anything like this alone and has decided to shave her hair in order to support me through my treatment; she always copies off me anyway! The fundraising by Abbey will be used for a beautiful wig until my hair grows back. I have always been confident with my looks and by having a wig I could begin to live life as normal as possible again. I intend on fighting this disease and winning back my life!
