Story
Romford FC have been operating for 27 years without a home, and for the last 10 years away from the Borough. We have an ambitious plan to build a community facility in Romford with a 3G playing surface. This will be suitable not only for a 1st team, reserves, U21, U18, but also the wider community. In the past we have provided coaching for deaf children, after school clubs, and holiday clubs, but had to stop all these projects and more due to lack of proper facilities. We want to coach children in a safe, friendly environment. Everyone connected with the club, players, managers, coaches etc. are all unpaid volunteers , and without our own ground sources of income to help pay for the general costs are limited.
The initial fundraising target of £2,000 will go towards the legal and planning costs associated with the project to bring the football club back to the Borough, with planning costs and legal fees expected to be in the region of £4.500 over the next couple of months.
Any pledges, no matter how small, along with your support will help us achieve our vision, of a purpose built facility in the town.

6 years agoOur first round of fundraising to enable the plans to be submitted has now finished. We had some incredibly generous donations, so to the 77 people who donated online, and the 6 that donated offline, on behalf of the club can I thank you. We expect some information from Havering Council by the end of October and will keep you fully informed. Up the Boro, and once again so many thanks

6 years agoIts fair to say the club has been overwhelmed by all the support, and generosity from supporters and the wider community. We have an incredible task ahead to raise the funds for the new ground, but nothing will happen until the plans were submitted. With your help that has happened, and we have been told we will get news on our application by end September 2018. All the money raised has gone onto the Westlands project, and hopefully one day you can all visit, and proudly say I was part of this. Whatever your donation, our eternal thanks.

6 years agoAll the money raised so far will go towards the planning application. I am pleased to say this is now submitted. We still need to raise as much as we can towards other costs such as search fees, surveys architects etc. You have all been brilliant so far. Can we get to £2700. One final push, please send to all your friends and contacts, just a pound or two will be fine. Thanks again for all your generosity
