In these difficult times, many families and young people need some extra help with everyday living. So when we heard The Proclaimers song last year we decided that this would be our challenge, we would walk 500 miles and cycle 500 more.

Any money we raise will be given to Eastleigh Basics Bank and Fledge.

Eastleigh Basics Bank is a food bank which collects groceries and provides practical support for individuals and families in crisis .

We are Lynne and Sara who are members of Itchen Valley Inner Wheel. This year has been a real challenge to raise money for charities and while going through two lockdowns we looked for another way to help these very worthwhile charities and essential organisations in these difficult times. Hence a sponsored walk and ride, and we would be very grateful if you could sponsor us in this challenge. We are both walking the 500 miles as in the song title and Sara is also cycling 500 miles.
