    Story

    Hello MERRY Jolly Holidays!

During this festive season we, Gracie and the team at Miss Wright Publishing are donating over 1,000 of the new 'Silly Eric's Countdown To Christmas' books, to the Waveney food bank. They are adding this to their amazing food hampers for families struggling this Christmas. We feel adding a beautiful children's picture book is such a precious gift to give to the kids, to encourage them to read with a fun loving story. It's the least we can do!

Thousands of children in the UK will go without gifts this Christmas and 9,000 of those kids go to Waveney food bank for their meals. We joined with Waveney food bank after hearing their shocking figures and asked how we can help highlight the importance of reading to these kids in poverty and give them a chance to have fun learning through the charm and delight of Silly Eric's Christmas story, which affirms and encourages.

If our kids can not read, the chances of them achieving good jobs in the future become very low. A recent survey carried out by Save The Children found that four out of ten children are on free school meals are not able to read well by the age of 11.

    Waveney food bank said,

“The amount of children being fed at the local food banks has increased dramatically, due to many factors including, rising rents, low income and mothers fleeing domestic abuse."

The books have been printed and are ready to distribute, all we need is your help. Will you join us and donate this Christmas? Each book has an encouraging massage from myself to the kids.

No matter how big or small your donation, we will be extremely grateful for your help.

Thank you for your support and please get in touch if you would like to ask any questions.

Much love from me Gracie and the Silly Eric Team XoX

P.S. Check out our video which explains the behind the scenes of the book.
