Story
Sterilisation for the Nation!
Hello Animal Lovers!
We are currently planing a series of "Sterilisation Weekends" targeting ALL coastal villages from the West to the South coast of Mauritius. Next month, we will be sterilising 50 dogs in one weekend!!! This is only a quarter of the work we need to do in this one small village in Baie du Cap. Can you imagine the work that lies ahead of us and the cost?!
We intend to sweep every single village with good intent, a positive attitude, whilst educating locals, big and small, on why it is so important to be a part of this mission. We believe that to make change, we need to educate and lead by example. We need YOUR HELP to achieve this great task. If we get enough financial support in the coming months, we will be able to sterilise a BIG number of stray dogs & cats, considerably bring the shocking and ever-increasing figures right down. This will result in less abandoned, poorly treated, starving, sick and unwanted animals and also a renewed sense of community, bringing people together for a common cause.
PLEASE donate whatever you can!!! Please share this campaign with your friends and family, your place of work, your community groups and truly help make Mauritius a better place to live for the voiceless.
We thank you and look forward to updating you with how we are progressing.

5 years agoThank you to all for donating! Your donations enabled us to sterilise 32 animals!!!! We will doing monthly campaigns from now on, until we make a lasting change in the village of Baie du Cap and then the rest of the West to South coast of the island. 5 years agoWe went to the site yesterday and were shocked & appalled to see just how many stray puppies were about. Living off the last drop of milk from their emaciated mums, full of fleas, sunstroke, left in metal barrels in the blazing sun with NO WATER! Was heartbreaking to witness. In this village we estimate having no less than 200 dogs to sterilise. We will be focusing on the females (as the owners of male dogs still tend to have a macho attitude about removing a male dog's testicles!!!) and removing the puppies from their terrible fates. HELP US!
