St. Patrick’s is a Catholic Church in the heart of Newtownards, County Down. It has provided our Congregation with a sacred space to worship and give glory to God since 1877 when it was built under the auspices of Elizabeth, 4th Dowager Marchioness of Londonderry.

In recent years wear and tear and increased maintenance costs have forced us to accept that the Church needs some TLC in order for it to continue to be a wonderful sacred space for us now and for generations to come.

The restoration will cost £300,000 but we have a head start of £130,000 leaving us to find £170,000. Our aim is to raise the majority of this locally, however, we recognize that there are people throughout the world who would like to help us reach our target. We know many of you join us on a weekly basis, through our webcam, and others who have ties back to the Parish of Newtownards and Comber and St. Patrick’s in particular. Bearing that in mind we hope to raise £10,000 through online giving.
