Story
Selby College are teaming up with the District Council and Students Union to create a Youth Well-being Fund.
The main purpose of the charity is to provide small amounts of funding for local young people between the ages of 16-24 years, that are students within the Selby District, and who are facing challenges that are impacting on their mental well-being. The intention of the fund is to bridge the gap between the Child and Adolescent Mental Health service and Adult Mental Health services, whilst offering young people the opportunity to contribute and gain skills as trustees of a charitable organisation,
It is the intention of the charity to fundraise in order to provide help and support in a time of need. A secondary role of the charity is to raise awareness of mental health issues for young people.
