one sunny day in May 2010 I was busy beautifying my lovely client Zoe, when she asked me, do you fancy a challenge...... Well of course I said yes, thinking she wanted a show stopping new hair style for another of her celeb bashes! I was wrong, very very wrong!!

the challenge Zoe was actually referring to would prove to be far more nerve racking and physically demanding than my ever elaborate blow drys..... And if you have seen me blow dry then you will understand that this must be one heck of a challenge!!!

So.......... The challenge is a 3 night, 4 day trek across the Sahara Dessert, Why you may ask would one feel the need to put oneself through this? Well, my client (and friend, although ask me this again at the end of the track!!) the lovely Zoe.... She runs a wonderful and very worthwhile charity in London called "Cash For Kids" And the Sahara Dessert Challenge is just one of the crazy events this lot get up to to raise money!

Cash For Kids aims to support children under the age of 18, who are financially, socially, of physically disadvantaged. Additionally Cash For Kids encourages healthy lifestyle options by promoting physical, mental and general well being of children and adolescents. Cash For Kids work incredibly hard to improve the day to day life of our children.

I need to reach my target of £2000, and to do this I also plan to arrange other fund raising events, and be involved in physical challenges in the lead up to the trek in March 2011.

I have already signed up for my next half Marathon, The Grunty Fen. This will take place in Ely, Cambridgeshire, on the 12th of September 2010. Track side cheerers are very very welcome, and of course anyone wanting to help with post run drinking and roast lunch eating!

I am hoping to enter in to a few more races, perhaps a few 10/20ks? If anyone has heard of any in the aria please let  me know!

So thank you for taking the time to visit my page, ....... :)

And thank you in advance for any contribution you make......
