We are BARRY BARKER, 63 and KEITH JOSLIN, 67 and together we make up THE CRUMBLIES! After some thought, a reasonable amount of alcohol and some ‘advice’ from team NOMAD RUSH we have decided to take part in *** THE LONDON TO TASHKENT RALLY 2009! ***
It will involve driving over 5000 across Europe, The Ukraine, Russia, through Kazakhstan and ending in Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet bloc country.
IT'S NOT A WALK IN THE PARK ! (But it might be worth it for the scenery)
We will be raising money for MacMillan Nurses, and British Heart Foundation, as we both have personal reasons to support them, as well as underprivileged children in Kyrgyzstan. We have our own website on www.nomadrush.eu/crumblies
MacMillan Nurses.
The reason we are supporting MacMillan Nurses is Barry’s late partner Mary Eggleton, who passed away in 2006 after a long fight with Cancer. They offered enduring support not just to the patient, but to Barry himself and to her family of loved ones, which was personally very comforting at a time of emotional stress and pressure.
