About the charity
The loss of a loved one, a parent or a child can be devastating. Cruse provides emotional support, information and practical help for people struggling to cope with bereavement. With 130 branches across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 5,500 trained volunteers supporting bereaved people, Cruse is the largest and the only organisation providing support to anyone bereaved by death - whoever they are, whatever their age, however or whenever their loved ones died. This year Cruse celebrates its Golden Jubilee. Founded in 1959, it has given support to bereaved people for 50 years - and will continue to be there. We are working hard to promote the work of Cruse and raise funds. Please give generously as we rely on donations to continue our work. You can also support some of our amazing volunteers online here - you’ll see who they are and what they’re doing through the Raise Money link below.
Another way you can support Cruse is through our training courses and workshops. Bereavement is a universal experience yet it is frequently overlooked in the working environment and elsewhere. Though grief is a normal experience, unresolved it can affect concentration, ability to work effectively, mental health, relationships and general well being. Our courses - with 50 years of experience behind them - raise awareness in bereavement care and give people skills to support those suffering bereavement.
There’s a special website for our jubilee year at www.griefreliefappeal.org.uk
