About the charity : Build Malawi Project Build Malawi Project
The Build Malawi Project is a small grass roots project in the north of Malawi that is parented by Action for the Benefit of Children (ABC). This particular project will focus on furthering education for all, regardless of age or gender, by constructing a primary school/ community learning centre. It also will implement a wide range of programmes in education, health and sanitation, women and girl empowerment and the environment.

UPDATE:

We completed the ride on the 8th August in Sunderland after 150 miles of cycling, including climbs of up to 2000ft. Our total riding time was slightly over 14 hours. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and donated both online and offline. We're still accepting sponsorship!

We are 15 year olds from Ripon Grammar school and we have decided to raise money for a great cause by cycling about 150 miles from the Irish sea (at Whitehaven) to the North sea (at Sunderland) We set off on Monday 6th August 2007 and aim to finish by Wednesday!
