Cycling4Gaza is an initiative founded in 2009 that aims to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis in Gaza and raise funds for educational and healthcare projects responding to the critical needs of children in the Gaza Strip.

 

We are a group of people from all over the world, of all ages, who want to make a difference by mobilising people to come together in a yearly cycling challenge.

 

In 2011, we will be cycling across Greece, from Olympia to Athens, covering over 350km in just 3 days. This year we will focus specifically on supporting children's urgent medical and healthcare needs in Gaza, including those children who were critically injured or disabled by the 2009 war on Gaza. 

 

Funds raised will go to the Welfare Association, a UK-registered charity established in 1993 to support the most vulnerable Palestinian communities with sustainable development programmes and emergency aid.
