Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

To encourage me on my way and keep me from visiting too many of the country pubs we'll pass on the route, I've decided  to seek sponsorship for the WWF-UK who are funding the  community based cooperate schemes which help both local people and wildlife around the world.

These schemes have been very successful in allowing local people to benefit from their local wildlife and environment and are seen as the last hope for the 720 remain mountain gorillas in central Africa.

An example is the Namibia Conservancy which is a cooperative movement enabling local communities to manage and benefit from the wildlife, habitats and other natural resources in their communal lands .  This scheme is funded by the WWF-UK and supported by the NGO Integrated Rural Development and Nature Conservation

Your donation to this charity will encourage me in my mad cap idea of cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats.  (It's a long road ........especially as it's up hill all the way).

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: WWF-UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Good luck and enjoy the experience Donation by Lucy McGoldrick on 15/07/08
