Early in 2014 mum was diagniosed with cancer of the womb. Closer to her op it was discovered the cancer had spead to other organs. as you can imagine this came as a shock, the original op should have been keyhole surgery lasting 2 - 3 hours but because of the new details it was a full operation lasting 6 or 7 hours. After a few weeks recovery mum had an appointment with her specialist where it was confirmed that all the removed parts had cancerous cells so the only course of action was chemo. 6 sessions every 3 weeks of the highest dose followed. Thankfully mum's in remission and we can start to look to the future. The Big c were fantasic in giving mum and dad the support they needed throughout the treatment and as 2015 is almost upon us i would like to make it a positive year by raising money for Big C and trying to help other people in a similar situation.

i've decided to select a minimum of 12 races next year. at the moment i have 3 confirmed races which are The Horsford X-Country 10K on Dec 7th, the same race on the 8th Feb and the Colour 5k on june the 6th. Other potential races include the Norwich Half, Spartan sprint, super and beast and some duathlons and triathlons. as and when i can confirm these i will update this page.
