And its all over bar the pain !! 4 HOURS 20 MINUTES ISH. Was at 30 km in 2 hours 40 minutes then the pain kicked in lol. The last 6.2 miles were tough with the temperature rising with every step, but the thought of why I was doing this kept my legs putting one foot in front of the other THANKS MUM for everything - I know she was with me every step of the way. My thanks also to the fantastic London crowds and the volunteers who kept me watered throughout.
And how can I ever forget all you lot my fantastic sponsors without who this would not be possible THANK YOU ALL
24/04/09 Last update before the big day on Sunday - only £400 to go to target but plenty of people adding money once the run is done so to speak.

17/04/09 Just over a week to go and I am almost there on both a fitness and monetary level. I went to see a sports masseur this week and my legs feel brand new so good news for my injuries. Im only doing short (10 mile) runs now to keep me topped up for the big day. I fly to London on Friday and come back Monday. Big massive thanks for all your support its really made my life a lot easier
31/03/09 Training Update - A knee and leg injury has slowed me down but not stopped me - if anything its made me more determined. Only 4 weeks until I will be running round the streets of London in aid of a fantastic cause and in memory of my Mum. Mothers Day was a tough encounter this year being the first time I could not say happy Mothers day, but I know in my heart she is always with me, a big massive THANKS to everyone who has donated or sent a note to wish me well I can assure you your every action has spurred me on to keep going .
27/02/09 TRAINING UPDATE - Im now up to 15 miles two to three times a week and doing Davina McCall more times than her husband LOL. I ve been knocked down (only once) chased by dogs been followed by kids for a couple of miles (felt like an ad for Rocky) so Im doing my bit for Childline (the hard bit) now its up to you to do your bit (the easy bit) and sponsor me anything you can afford.
A big massive thanks to all those who have taken the time to sponsor me already
Well for those of you who know me you will know that if its for charity I'll do it!!
In my past I have ran 10 marathons in 10 days, dressed as a woman more times than I can remember, dressed as a Guy Fawkes (sitting still has never been my fortae) kissed firmen and gave more time, energy and money than anyone I know to charity
I have now been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to complete this years (2009) London Marathon on behalf of Childline. Although the money raised will go direct to Childline I will be completing this, my last marathon in memory of my very dear Mum, Doreen who passed away in June after a four year battle against cancer and this is my way of saying thank you for all she did for me.
Please remember by sponsoring me you will be helping children with no one or nowhere to turn to be supported through some very bad times. Please check the video and I hope like it did for me it spurs you into helping those less fortunate
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ChildLine gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
