In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

Thanks for visiting my London Marathon fundraising page.

Using this page you can sponsor me in my effort to run the London Marathon. All funds go towards to The Prostate Cancer Charity. They do amazing work in research to find cures for this cancer, and support for those with the disease.

I've never run a marathon before and although it does seem daunting, I'm aiming for a time of around 4 hours. It's a sobering thought that during this time 4 men in the UK will have died from Prostate Cancer. 10,000 die every year - about the same as breast cancer.
