We provide quality support for families and children suffering from Perthes' disease and Associated conditions including Multiple Epiphyseal Dysplasia, in all parts of the UK and overseas. Our services include a helpline, financial/practical advice, an equipment library, publications and events. We are also committed to supporting research into these conditions.

My story

On 25th October 2009 I will be running the Great South Run to raise money to the Perthes association.

As most of you will know when I was 8 I was diagnosed with Perthes disease and the Perthes Association helped me to deal with any problems. I am running this race for two reasons, one being to raise money for the Perthes Association so that they can help children with Perthes disease just as they helped me. The second reason is a personal goal and mission to prove to myself that I can do this and show I have bounced back from the days in a wheelchair and when I was told I may have a limp for life. This will be a massive challenge for me both mentally and physically but I am going for it. Please sponsor me and help me to raise some money for this fantastic charity.
