Story
I have run the 2014 London Marathon for Diabetes UK as an amazing charity for understanding the causes and consequences of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and supporting patients affected by the disease. This disease affects over 3 million people in the UK alone and influences people's quantity and quality of life so dramatically throughout every decade of their life. I see the impact of their work on a daily basis educating and informing patients and funding researchers like myself to overcome this modern epidemic. There is so much more work to do but if I (and you) can make a small difference then I am happy to do so.
I thank everyone who has supported me finishing in 3h 43 min 17 secs on a truly memorable and amazing day but there's still a way to my target for those who haven't yet supported me. I ran this with my beautiful wife and two fabulous children at my side and lots of fantastic encouragement from other family, terrific friends and colleagues so thank you. You have made a big difference
I'll be back next year!!!
