Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This August, I am honoured to be 'Biking the Baltic' from Warsaw to Vilnius in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. I am doing this partly because I love cycling and discovering new places but also in memory of my grandmother Juliet Wallace (nee Triggs) who passed away from cancer forty years ago this summer at the age of 57. Cancer robbed my brother and I of a very special person whom we were too young to know. About myself: I am British, originally from Buckinghamshire, and have been living and working in Tokyo for the last five years, where I teach English at a women's university. I enjoy reading, swimming, the theatre, as well as cycling. This March, I cycled 125 km up the Mekong River in Cambodia in aid of the educational and environmental charity Pepy Ride (www.pepyride.org); the picture is from a previous visit, just to show you what I look like! Hopefully, Poland and Lithuania will be a little cooler and less humid; all I can say is that I'm well into my training. Please read the explanation below, and consider donating to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
