My story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Yorkshire Cancer Centre - Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

*** The Big Jump is now booked for 20th October 2007 ***

For those that don't know the pair of us, Matt and I worked together driving Traffic cars round Chapeltown from 2002 - 2004, catching lots of bad guys and girls and chasing cars in hair raising pursuits. Together, we ensured the streets of Leeds were a little safer. (Usually when we were on our days off!) Then we went and got promoted.

Photos of our endeavours will be sent! (If we survive, or Matt doesn't bottle it!)

UPDATE - Lec Bradbury, the famous Mirfield designer/photographer/marketing guru and all round hero has joined the team and will also launch himself out of a plane on 20th October. Lec is no newcomer to charity raising and is hoping to use his talents and business acumen help boost  funds. Welcome Lec.

Update - WE DID IT !! The day came, we all made our way to the 'drop zone' and underwent a days training. Come 4.30pm when we got the call to make our way to get kitted up we all went a little bit quiet. Kit on and into the plane (8 of you in 'small' purpose built plane - you soon get to know the person in front. Danny was picked to jump first with Lec 3rd and Matt 5th (it was a weight ratio thing!) When the door flung open at 4000 feet we all took a big breath and one by one out we went. Needless to say the training went out of the window but all parachutes deployed without any 'nuisances' (thats parachute code for near death experience) and what a four minutes we had.

Thank-you to all who have supported this very worth while cause - the page will be open for a few week so its not too late to make a contribution.

Danny, Matt and Lec
