Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, you're just a few more clicks away from contributing to a great cause.
I'll just provide a quick explanation of what I'm doing, and why I'm doing it, first of all. Although the previous email with hopefully have explained this in more detail for you.
I'm going to be running the "Run To The Beat" half marathon on October 5th this year, 13 and a bit miles of fun, or so the organisers would have you believe. I have slight reservations about the fun part and I'm really hoping that, with your help, we can collectively do something positive and raise some money for my chosen charity - the Sarah Matheson Trust for Multiple System Atrophy.
Mike Sanderson, a close friend of my dad, is unfortunate enough to be suffering from MSA and this is the motivation for me to both complete the run and raise as much money as I can in the process. There's a brief explanation below about the Trust and the illness on this page. In short the illness has similarities to Parkinson's disease and there is currently no known cure. Please contact me if you would like any more details about the Trust's work.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sarah Matheson Trust for Multiple System Atrophy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me, the Trust is a small, yet fantastic charity and I know that any money raised will be put to great use and hugely appreciated.
Many thanks and kind regards
Danny
