Hi there!
Thanks for stumbling onto my page! I am going to conquer my fear of heights by doing this jump, along with raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
As you may or may not have known, muscular dystrophy is something close to my heart. I was diagnosed with Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy. It sounds like a tongue twister but it is real. It means that I may not be able to do many things that you may take for granted. Like reaching the top shelf to get that pack of crisps. Or just raising your arms for a prolonged period of time.
But there are more people out there, more children out there that suffer from more severe forms of Muscular Dystrophy and that's what I care about. Them. Some of them will not live to see their teenage years. Some are paralysed from young and can only move around in a wheelchair. They need your concern and help, if not monetary aid to fund the ongoing research to find a cure. Even if I fail to raise the money for them, as long as you gain a greater understanding on their condition and perhaps help the cause in anyway, then it will be all worth it.
So if you would like to act now and help this cause, please donate as much as you could to this website and the funds will go directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. For more information, do visit http://www.muscular-dystrophy.org/about_muscular_dystrophy or contact me at y.l.lim@warwick.ac.uk
Cheers!
