A Giant Leap For Ape Kind

“Bungee Madness” takes place on Sunday 13th September 2009 and I will be bungee jumping 165ft in aid of the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund, set up in memory of Alison’s husband and the founder of Monkey World. All sponsorship raised will go towards a new education centre.

This will be my second bungee, after jumping the World's Highest in South Africa last year, so hopefully this should be a 'walk in the park'! This time though I have the chance to use my thrill-seeking to raise as much as I can for charity.

I grew up in the village of Wool (just down the road from Monkey World), and went to school with Jim and Alison's daughter. Working for Poole Tourism now, I can say that Monkey World is one of the most popular attractions we have. This opportunity gives me the chance to contribute to the development of the park and allows the staff to continue their good work, all in remembrance of Jim.

I have set up this page in addition to my "paper" fundraising, in order to reach out to as many people as I can and give me a better chance of reaching (and hopefully smashing!) my target.
