Dear all, I have been fortunate enough to gain a place in the 2008 Flora London Marathon by running for a Charity. I am running for Pagets Disease. Below are the facts about Pagets Disease: • It occurs more commonly in Britain than anywhere else in the world • Up to 1,000, 000 sufferers in the UK • Paget's Disease affects bone growth causing bones to expand • Symptoms can range from none at all, to fractures • Complications include arthritus, deafness, pain, fractures As most of you will know me, you will know that I have wanted to do the Marathon for a few years, now I have my chance. The training hasn't quite started yet but it soon will and the consumption of alcohol will be cut down so I complete the course to the best I can. No targets of time have been set, but I do have the target of £650.00 to raise for this worthwhile cause Updates on my training will be made known if I can work out how. Thanks for taking the time to read this and the support that you've given. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Association For The Relief Of Paget's Disease will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
